Luo Yongjin will be exhibiting his series Trip at the HeXiangning Art Museum (何香凝美术馆), Shenzhen, China, which is titled Districts I Dreamlands I Desires, and opens Saturday, October 25th with an artists reception from 4 – 6 pm. The exhibition is through November 23rd, 2008.
I had an opportunity to meet Luo at his OFOTO Gallery, located in the M50 district of Shanghai, last January. We discussed his photographs that were in the rackroom, as well as traded mutal publications. Luo’s new body of work is an expansion on his early urban landscape work and is very interesting, being much more introspective than his previous images.
